To function correctly as a hardware companion app, RS-CHOIR requires specific on-device permissions. All data processed through these permissions remains on your device.
The App requests microphone access exclusively for the "Sing" mode to detect the pitch of your voice and generate real-time MIDI harmonies. Your voice audio is processed locally on your device in real-time. We do not record, store, or transmit your audio data to any external servers.
The App requests Bluetooth permission to establish a wireless MIDI connection with the Teenage Engineering Choir hardware. This connection is entirely local between your device and the hardware. We do not track or log your hardware usage.
We do not require you to create an account, nor do we collect personally identifiable information (PII).
We do not use third-party analytics trackers, advertising IDs, or telemetry software to monitor your usage of the App. The songs, sequences, and lyrics you create within the App are stored locally on your device.
If you have explicitly opted-in to share crash reports and app analytics with developers through your iOS device settings, we may receive anonymous, aggregated data from Apple (such as crash logs or download counts). This data contains no personal information and is used strictly to fix bugs and improve the App.
The App includes a feature to help generate songs using AI. This feature provides a text prompt that you manually copy and paste into your own external AI chat tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude). The App itself does not communicate with, or send your data to, any third-party AI APIs. Your interaction with third-party AI tools is governed by their respective privacy policies.
Because all user data (such as saved songs and sequences) is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it. You can delete all data associated with the App simply by uninstalling the App from your device.
